Project Description
The main objective of the project is to assist selected cities which are supported to adapt measures that reduce or protect against the impacts of climate change. As per the requirement of the project, the consultant has to do the following tasks:
• Review of relevant documents and submission of report.
• Develop a methodology for the assessment of the capacities in the involved institutions for the integration of climate risks in planning and approval processes, as well as for the knowledge-based identification of adaptation measures.
• Compile an inventory of prominent institutions (universities, research institutions, others)
• Develop the tools necessary for the capacity needs assessment.
• Draft a detailed work plan for timely implementation of the assignment including all tasks.
• Specify the operational and logistic support required from the GIZ on site to conduct the capacity needs assessment in an effective and efficient manner.
• Conduct in-depth discussion with PC and other officials
• Analysis and reporting
• Knowledge sharing: Validation workshop
