Description:

The main objective of the project is to assess digital readiness of selected Pourashava and city corporation in Bangladesh for adopting support CRISC. This assignment will assist the project to have a clearer understanding about the actual scenario in the selected cities to know (i) how much the stakeholders are familiar with the application of digital devices and software’s, (ii) how efficiently they are using and, (iii)which particular IT area (i.e. use of software, basic IT orientation, etc.) the staffs require support to enhance their knowledge and skills, (iv) willingness and readiness to participate in online capacity development measures (i.e. trainings, workshops, online discussions and exchange of experiences/learning, online seminars, etc.), (v) requirement of IT equipment and facilities (i.e. computers, software’s, internet connectivity, etc.). As per the requirement of the project, the consultant has to do the following tasks: • Supervise and coordinate the whole team and undertake necessary visits to the city offices and respective project partners’ offices in Dhaka where the relevant departments and organizations are located (MAB, NILG, LGED and UDD) to conduct the survey and KII. • Responsible to conduct KII with responsible officials of 5 selected cities (Sirajganj, Satkhira, Rajshahi, Barishal and Khulna) and MAB, NILG, UDD, and LGED on IT- infrastructure and server capacities focusing on coding/designing of webpages and further digital formats (e.g., digital platforms). • Overall responsibility for the advisory packages of the contractor (quality and deadlines) • Coordinating and ensuring communication with GIZ, partners and others involved in the project • Personnel management, in particular identifying the need as well as planning and steering assignments and supporting other allocated staffs for the assignment and regular reporting in accordance with deadlines.
